The Oklahoma Beef Council Board of Directors is a board of beef and dairy producer volunteers all who pay the Beef Checkoff. To ensure the integrity of the Beef Checkoff in Oklahoma, the OBC takes the following steps:
Building beef demand by inspiring, unifying and supporting an effective state and national checkoff partnership. Making a positive difference for Oklahoma's farming and ranching families and the greater beef community.
The Cattlemen’s Beef Board provides oversight of the Beef Checkoff programs and approves the budget for all national and international beef checkoff programs.
As a state with more cattle than people, the Oklahoma Beef Council annually invests in the Federation of State Beef Councils. The reports shows how all partners in the checkoff work together to assure producers that their checkoff dollars are invested in an appropriate, efficient and effective manner.
The Oklahoma Beef Council invests annually with the US Meat Export Federation, the organization responsible for promoting US beef worldwide.
